Scope of Services: Procurement Project Planning

Brief Overview

A federally funded project, the redevelopment of the Port Lincoln Hospital included redeveloped acute care, providing 20 single rooms with ensuites, integrated primary health and allied health services, dental clinic with seven public dental chairs and additional consulting rooms, interview suites and a playroom in the waiting area. It also included new four-chair renal and four-chair chemotherapy units and a redeveloped operating theatre area, which included two new theatres.

Key Achievements

To determine the most cost-effective delivery model based on the budget and program constraints, we implemented early planning of the project briefing requirements.

The project was federally funded and as such, all tender and contract documents were required to include the Commonwealth Funding Agreement conditions. We worked with SA Health and stakeholders to align on the brief and prepared tender documents for the appointment of the design team.

Following concept design, we managed the procurement process to engage the Managing Contractor for the construction.

The project was successfully delivered within budget.
